The fraud usually begins with a phone call or WhatsApp message from a so-called “airline hiring department.” These fake airways call centres, operating mainly from Noida and Gurgaon, claim to be linked with popular airlines like IndiGo, Air India, or SpiceJet.
Students are told they’ve been “shortlisted for a ground staff job” — but to proceed, they must first complete an airport management certificate from an “approved aviation academy.”
Once students agree, they’re redirected to non-recognised online academies that falsely advertise “government-approved aviation certificates.” After paying the course fee, students receive pre-recorded video lectures and an unrecognised digital certificate that holds no airline or government validity.
Scammers often claim that their “academy” is MCA-approved, tricking students into believing it’s a government-authorised aviation institute.
However, this is completely false.
👉 The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) only issues a Certificate of Incorporation, which legally registers a company — it does not certify educational courses or training quality.
(Official MCA Reference – Ministry of Corporate Affairs)
Any aviation institute claiming to be “MCA-approved” for aviation or hospitality training is misleading students and violating consumer protection laws.
The Government of India, through UGC Notification F.No-1-12/2023 (DEB-I) dated 19 September 2023, has prohibited online and distance learning programmes in 18 professional sectors, including aviation, hospitality, travel management, and paramedical.

This ruling makes it clear:
Any academy offering online airport management or aviation training is not recognised by UGC and its certificates are invalid for airline hiring or DGCA-authorised aviation roles.
To help students understand the difference between real vs fake airline hiring, here’s how the authentic airline recruitment process actually works:
🚫 The scammers skip all these legitimate steps — they offer “instant job confirmation” after a small payment or course fee.
If you’re offered a job without any interview, test, or screening, it’s a 100% fake airline job scam.
Be alert if you notice any of the following:
🔴 Remember: No genuine airline or aviation training institute in India offers guaranteed jobs through online-only courses.

✔️ Check Offline Presence:

✔️ Never Pay Unverified Sources:
Avoid payments to individuals or through unofficial UPI links.
✔️ Ask for Valid Approvals:
Genuine institutes provide AASSC affiliation certificates, course approvals, and placement records.
✔️ Read Genuine Student Reviews:
Check the academy’s Google reviews and verify their alumni placement results.
